Melissa Martin grew up in Tumut and lived in many cities before returning home, embracing a lifestyle aligned with her creative practice - exploring and celebrating nature and organic forms. As life becomes more complicated and filled with technology and social media, Melissa focuses on the intricacies of our natural surroundings to create

quiet, meditative moments.

Her artworks represent these peaceful fragments of stolen time in our busy lifestyles and navigate and reflect on how modern life impact our natural environment. The works often explore a desire to improve/alter and minimise the impact on our surroundings. Melissa uses papercuts and printmaking to create 3-dimensional forms and installations

that celebrate and question our relationship with our natural environment while simultaneously creating a new interactive space.
